Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians at St Mary Hospital in Kankakee. You will assist with patient care, scheduling, chart management, and patient information delivery, contributing to a positive image of the clinic.
The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant Certification, BLS certification, phlebotomy certification, and at least one year of public-facing healthcare experience.
Responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Medical Assistant Certification.
3. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
4. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job.
5. Work experience in health care preferred.
6. Current Phlebotomy certification or Competency required.
