Job summary

CareMore Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians by handling front and back-office duties. You will greet patients, verify records, measure vitals, explain procedures, and assist with treatments and medications.

The role includes checking patients in/out, scheduling follow-ups, and managing co-pays in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate holds a High School Diploma, an active Medical Assistant certification, and may be required to be bilingual (English/Spanish).

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of related experience or equivalent background.
• Active, current Medical Assistant certification is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish may be required.
• Completion of Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner perCare Center protocols.
• Oversee patient check-in by verifying records, current data and paperwork.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs and record visit reasons.
• Explain procedures, perform treatments, and administer prescribed medications.
• Oversee check-out by scheduling follow-ups and collecting co-payments when applicable.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments; reconcile daily co-payments.

Job Description Summary

Responsible for assisting clinicians in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician.

How will you make an impact & Requirements

Provides front and/or back-office support.

• Greets patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner in compliance with Care Center (CCC) or Medical Group Practice protocols and workflows.
• Oversees patient check in by ensuring medical records/charts have been pulled, patient data is current, appropriate paperwork is in order, and charts are reviewed/prepared.
• Interviews patient measures vital signs and records reason for visit.
• Explains procedures, performs treatments, and administers prescribed medication.
• Oversees patient check out by scheduling follow up appointments, collecting co-payment if applicable, ensuring paperwork is complete.
• Schedules and confirms patient appointments.
• Reconciles co-payments at the end of each day.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Requires an active, current and valid Medical Assistant certification.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) maybe required.
• For Caremore Health business unit, satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.

Compensation Range:

$24.00 to $36.00

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company’s good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
