Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient flow and data collection in our Delaware facilities. The role involves coordinating intake, entering pertinent history, and assisting with clinical procedures under provider supervision.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, completion of an MA program or MA certification, and BLS certification within 90 days. Evening and weekend hours may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain BLS through AHA within 90 days.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification required.
• Acceptable certifications are CMA, RMA, NCMA and CCMA.
• Basic clinical and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow by assisting in clinical data collection and review for patient intake.
• Enter pertinent history in the medical record.
• Assist with clinical procedures in accordance with provider directives and protocol.
• Mentor and train new Medical Assistants.
• Schedule includes evening hours and some weekends.
