The position requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training, and applicants should have or obtain appropriate certifications (CMA/RMA) and BLS where required. Benefits eligible and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited MA program.
• Certification as CMA or RMA preferred; AHA BLS required in some divisions.
• Two years of MA experience preferred in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, history, health maintenance, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Performs POCT and CLIA-waived tests per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication rights.
• Handles patient messages, referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Structured military training (clinical in nature) per DD214 in lieu of MA program

2 years of verifiable full‑time experience as a Medical Assistant
