Job summary

Union Community Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced primary care setting. The role includes chart prep, vital signs, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record while delivering compassionate patient interactions.

The Medical Assistant will administer injections, assist with procedures, manage patient flow, and participate in coordination efforts to promote continuity of care and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program or competency assessment and two years of on-the-job training.
• May be new graduate or have less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Conducts chart prep for each patient daily and participates in daily huddles with the provider.
• Greets patients, prepares exam rooms, and documents in the e-HR as per SOP.
• Administers injections and medications as prescribed and follows protocols.
• Assists with procedures and exams designated by the provider.
• Performs tests such as phlebotomy, hearing tests, EKGs, and vision tests.
• Collects specimens and prepares them for testing.
• Maintains patient information confidentiality and supports care coordination.
