Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinical teams at our Massachusetts facilities. The MA will assist with rooming, vitals, specimen collection, immunizations, and EHR documentation, while coordinating patient flow and communicating with nurses and physicians.

This role emphasizes patient-centered care, safety, and adherence to practice guidelines, with a signing bonus up to $1,500 for full-time employees and a pay range of $21.00–$28.26 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA).
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greets, transports, and escorts patients to exam rooms.
• Obtains rooming data and documents in the EHR per protocol.
• Assists providers with specimens, immunizations, and minor procedures.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, spirometry, vision/hearing tests as required.
• Maintains patient safety and supports team effectiveness.
