Job summary

Responsibilities include updating records in the EHR, maintaining patient flow, and assisting Providers with care. The role emphasizes patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance, with duties in phlebotomy/radiology limited to grandfathered staff where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in clinic or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must successfully pass annual competency.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, measure vital signs, update medication lists and allergies in EHR.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examination and keep rooms clean.
• Maintain patient flow by monitoring scheduling system.
• Perform routine point of care testing.
• Clean and sterilize instruments; inventory supplies.
• Transport specimens, equipment, or supplies safely.
• Support Providers in patient care.
• Provide diagnosis-related education as directed by Nurse/Provider.
• Grandfathered duties in Long Term Care when applicable.
• Register and verify insurance in LTC, scan documents in EHR.
