Job summary

HSHS Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform a wide variety of patient care, administrative, and laboratory duties under physician supervision. The role supports direct patient care for all ages, with reception responsibilities and help with the business side of visits.

Requirements include completion from an accredited MA program, 1+ years of MA experience (varies by department), and MA certification within 90 days of start. BLS is required within 60 days.

Qualifications

• Completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• 1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience may be considered in lieu of completion of program per department discretion.
• BLS certification within 60 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a physician or mid-level provider.
• Engage in reception activities, greet patients and assist visitors as needed.
• Assist with administrative and laboratory tasks related to patient visits.
