Job summary

Summa Health Medical Group in Medina, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time days schedule. The role supports care teams, ensures accurate patient flow, and maintains medical documentation with HIPAA-compliant professionalism.

Must graduate from an approved Medical Assistant program with about 1 year of related medical office experience. Travel between Akron, Barberton & Wadsworth offices may be required; a sign-on bonus is offered along with competitive benefits and pay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• One (1) year related medical office experience; or externship; or associated experience or education.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and EMR.
• Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Ability to travel between locations as needed within the medical group.
• For SHMG (medical group) employees: Ability to obtain Basic Life Support certification within six months of hire with Summa Health and ability to maintain the BLS certification.
• Must pass yearly clinical skill competencies
