Job summary

Community Health Centers of Greater Dayton is seeking a Medical Assistant I in Dayton, OH. You will support providers, room patients, take vital signs, perform basic procedures, and document in the EMR while contributing to a mission-driven team.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years experience, CPR certification, and strong computer/communication skills. Preferred: MA certification and EMR experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 3 years of experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant certification and EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories.
• Assist with procedures and exams.
• Perform injections, EKGs, venipuncture, and lab testing.
• Document patient information in the EMR.
• Coordinate patient flow and support providers.
• Educate patients and support follow-up care.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
• Additional duties as assigned.
