Job summary

Inova Internal Medicine McLean is actively recruiting a Medical Assistant 1 for a full-time day shift, Monday to Friday. The role supports patient flow, vital signs, phlebotomy, injections, and coordination with clinicians in a high-quality care environment.

• Experience in a medical group practice is preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules and manage patient flow; record vital signs and assist during exams.
• Assist physicians and nurses; prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Handle clerical tasks: medical records, forms, lab/x-ray reports and referrals.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and adhere to sterile techniques.
• Participate in clinic huddles and quality improvement efforts.
