Inova Medical House Calls Program in Alexandria is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant 2 for a full-time Day Shift, Monday through Friday. The role supports patient flow, performs routine clinical tasks, and assists physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of clinical experience, and BLS and CMA certification on start.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of clinical practice experience preferred.
• BLS certification and CMA certification required on start.

Responsibilities

• Performs general patient care: check schedules and patient flow, record blood pressure, height and weight, accompany patients to exam room, assist with walking, phlebotomy, injections, and prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Relays instructions to patients and families; answers calls and provides pertinent information.
• Pre-visiting planning for vulnerable patients as indicated by the physician.
