La Clinica de La Raza in Vallejo is seeking a Medical Assistant I/II for a full-time position within a fast-paced clinic. The role involves preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, recording patient histories, and supporting the care team with efficient patient flow.

You will perform routine clinical tasks, assist with procedures, document in the EHR, and provide patient education while maintaining confidentiality and high-quality care standards. Bilingual English/Spanish is valued.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited MA training program or equivalent.
• One year of hospital/clinic/medical office experience with competency sign-off.
• BLS certificate required with 30-day grace period to obtain if needed.
• MA-I/MA-II options with corresponding certifications and requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare treatment rooms and set up medical laboratory equipment.
• Record patient history in EHR and verify reason for visit.
• Take vital signs and perform preliminary physical tasks.
• Administer medications and injections as directed by a provider.
• Explain treatment procedures and provide patient education.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient flow.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate medical records.
• Support care team and participate in population health tools.
