Atrium Health's GCMG South End Family Medicine clinic in Charlotte is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. Clinic hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 40-hour week.

The role involves patient rooming, specimen handling, and assisting providers as needed to deliver high-quality care. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited MA program, or equivalent experience for some divisions; BLS certification is often required.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED is required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
• If in IL/WI divisions, 2 years of verifiable MA experience may substitute formal schooling.
• Certifications per department policies (e.g., BLS) may be required or obtained within designated timeframes.

Responsabilidades

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, histories, screenings, and health maintenance reviews.
• Assists with procedures and laboratory duties, including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines following best practices and rights of administration.
• Handles referrals, insurance authorizations, scheduling, and supply management.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and effective communication with team and patients.
