The position emphasizes rooming patients, recording vitals, documenting in the EMR, and assisting with routine clinical duties within a collaborative care team. A CMA/RMA/CCMA or equivalent certification is preferred or obtainable within 6 months of hire.

This role supports patient care under supervision by performing basic tasks such as rooming patients, recording vital signs, and assisting with routine clinical duties. The Medical Assistant I will work collaboratively with the care team to ensure efficient and compassionate care delivery.**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Rooming patients, adheres to rooming guidelines, vitals, accurately documents in the EMR, basic tests/procedures, medications and vaccines* Document patient information in the EMR accurately* Prepare exam rooms with the required equipment and supplies* Assist providers with basic examinations and procedures* Maintain exam room cleanliness and report low stock levels* Follow infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols* Answer and route phone calls appropriately* Support appointment scheduling, patient check-in, and chart management* Perform basic clerical tasks such as filing and scanning## Qualifications**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:*** High school diploma or equivalent* Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program* Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) is preferred or obtained within 6 months of hire* Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification for healthcare providers with hands on component preferred or within 60 days of hire
