Job summary

City of Hope seeks a Medical Assistant I to support clinical teams with rooming, vital signs, and basic nursing tasks. You will review patient records prior to visits, assist providers, and ensure patient flow and safety within a busy clinic.

The role requires an accredited Medical Assistant program, CPR/BLS certification, and strong communication skills. This is a full-time on-site position at our California locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Training in specialty-specific assisting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for patient appointments by updating records and reviewing EHR for needed services.
• Assist providers and nurses during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with instruments and supplies.
• Greets patients, assists with rooming and vital signs, and documents changes in condition.
• Performs basic nursing tasks and ensures sterile techniques and safety protocols.
