Job summary

Clinica Sierra Vista in Fresno, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant I/II to float between front and back office duties and support staffing needs across clinics. The role reports to the Director of Operations or designee and aims to maintain efficient health center operations.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, BLS certification, and a valid California driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
• BLS certification must be current through American Heart Association.
• Valid California driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Associates degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of medical office experience in outpatient clinic.
• Knowledge of billing codes, HIPAA, and Medical Records laws.
• Adhere to CSV’s immunization requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support front office and back office duties to maintain scheduling efficiency.
• Follow standard work procedures and resolve patient issues.
• Monitor patient check-in/out process, including collections and deposits.
• Ensure alignment with quality guidelines (TJC, HRSA, PCMH, HEDIS, UDS, CHDP).
