Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited two-year Medical Assistant program.
• NHA or AAMA certification preferred.
• National certification must be attained within 6 months of employment to perform in this position.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, and staff to maximize outcomes.
• Records patient information and discharge instructions accurately.
• Assists in unit quality improvement and follows care plans.
• Performs routine intake, vital signs, and point-of-care testing as appropriate.
• May transport patients and respond to phone messages per policy.
