Job summary

Frontier Dermatology invites skilled professionals to join our dermatology teams across Oregon and Washington. This Medical Assistant & Histotech role supports a surgical and general dermatology team, with Portland as the primary location and mileage reimbursed for travel to other clinics.

Typical hours are varied, Tuesday through Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm, with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401k, life insurance, paid holidays, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Mohs Histotechnician experience in frozen section procedures is required.
• Must be Certified or Registered as a Medical Assistant through the WA State DOH.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or a Certified Derm Tech or Derm Tech equivalent.
• HS Diploma or GED with 1–3 months related healthcare experience or trade school equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare exam rooms.
• Assist providers in dermatology procedures.
• Provide patient education and daily patient tasks.
• Maintain efficient clinic flow in a fast-paced environment.

• Overview: Do you enjoy assisting providers in procedures, learning all about a specific specialty, and getting to do a variety of tasks in a clinic setting? Join our team as a dermatology Medical Assistant!
• Job Title: Medical Assistant & Histotech (Surgical team, and General Dermatology)
• Location: Portland primary location, travel to Gresham/Vancouver or other clinics within district if needed (mileage reimbursed)
• Typical Schedule: Varied Tuesdays - Fridays, 7:30am - 5:00pm

Qualifications:

• Must have experience as a Mohs Histotechnician in frozen section procedures
• Must be Certified or Registered as a Medical Assistant through the WA State Department of Health
• Must either be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, a Certified or Registered MA, or a Certified Derm Tech
• HS Diploma, GED; and 1-3 months related healthcare experience or trade school equivalent
• Our medical assistants must be comfortable in a fast paced environment; some MA duties include rooming patients, assisting providers in procedures, patient education, and daily patient tasks
