Job summary

Frontier Dermatology seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Portland team, supporting providers in a busy dermatology clinic. Primary location is Portland with weekly travel to Gresham and occasional trips to Vancouver, mileage reimbursed.

In this role you will room patients, assist during procedures, educate patients, and handle daily tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential to our patient-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, a Certified or Registered MA, or a Certified Derm Tech.
• Certification through the WA State Dept of Health strongly preferred, some exceptions may be made for Registered MA’s depending on experience
• HS Diploma, GED; and 1-3 months related healthcare experience or trade school equivalent
• Our medical assistants must be comfortable in a fast paced environment; some MA duties include rooming patients, assisting providers in procedures, patient education, and daily patient tasks
• Our medical assistants must have exceptional customer service skills, be highly organized, and very detail oriented. See our mission below!

Position Details

• Overview: Do you enjoy assisting providers in procedures, learning all about a specific specialty, and getting to do a variety of tasks in a clinic setting? Join our team as a dermatology Medical Assistant!
• Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant
• Location: Portland primary location, travel required once a week to Gresham and possible travel to Vancouver (mileage reimbursed)
• Typical Schedule: Varied Tuesdays - Fridays, 7:30am - 5:00pm
