Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office. Under physician supervision, you will assist with patient assessments and treatments, document care, and maintain supplies.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assistant program, and certification such as CCMA/CMA/RMA; BLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited medical assistant program or equivalent.
• License: CCMA, CMA or RMA.
• Certification: BLS to be obtained within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
• Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitor patient condition and document care provided.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; keep exam areas clean and stocked.
• Perform admin duties including filing, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
