Job summary

ExperCare Urgent Care & Occupational Medicine in Northport, AL is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a fast-paced, patient-centered clinic. This role supports providers, performs triage, vital signs, EKGs, venipuncture, and patient education while delivering compassionate care.

You should be a certified or licensed medical assistant (or eligible) with strong customer service, flexibility for days/evenings/weekends, and a focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible availability — including days, evenings, and weekends.
• Certified or licensed (or eligible for certification/licensure).
• Ability to pass a background check at time of hire.
• Prior clinical experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage, vital signs, and patient history
• Conduct EKGs and rapid lab testing
• Perform venipuncture and administer injections
• Assist providers with procedures and patient care
• Manage patient call-backs and provide education
• Set up and assist with sterile procedures
• Maintain and stock exam rooms and supplies
• Support occupational medicine services (drug screens, breath alcohol testing, etc.)
• Contribute to a positive, efficient, and patient-centered clinic environment
