Job summary

Pinnacle Treatment Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to administer and coordinate medical services while delivering a positive patient experience on-site in California. The role combines routine administrative tasks with clinical responsibilities to support an efficient intake process.

Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or equivalent and a current MA or EMT certificate, plus experience in medical assisting.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a current medical assistant certificate or EMT certificate.
• Experience as a medical assistant.
• Must maintain continuing education credits as required by the state employed.
• Ability to administer medications.
• Localized travel up to 5% may be required.

Responsibilities

• W o r ks as part of the intake team to ensure patients are seen promptly.
• Observe urine samples for urine drug screens, test onsite and package for laboratory confirmation testing.
• Obtain vital signs and report findings to nurses when needed.
• Obtain blood samples for standard blood testing onsite and package for the laboratory.
• Communicate all relevant information to the leadership team regarding patients and the facility.
• Make appointments for patients to see physicians, counselors, and case managers, and provide lab work and referrals for additional follow-up care.

Skills

Education
