Job summary

Aegis/Pinnacle Treatment Centers in Modesto, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to administer and coordinate medical services while ensuring a positive patient experience. The role involves routine administrative and clinical duties within the facility.

Pay range is $17.50 to $19.50 per hour. Benefits include 18 days PTO, 401k with company match, ongoing training and certification opportunities, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, disability insurance, STAR LRP, and tuition scholarships.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current medical assistant certificate or EMT certificate from an accredited program.
• Experience as a medical assistant.
• Continuing education credits as required by the state.
• Ability to administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of the intake team to ensure patients are seen promptly.
• Observe urine samples for drug screens and prepare for lab confirmation testing.
• Obtain vital signs and report findings to nurse.
• Obtain blood samples for testing and package for the lab.
• Communicate information to leadership about patients and the facility.
• Schedule appointments with physicians/counselors/case managers and coordinate labs/referrals.
• May handle cash collection and daily balancing.
• May manage accounts receivable/payable/deposits.
• Maintain security by following procedures and monitoring logs.
• Coordinate appointments and record PDMP data in state registry.
• Maintain and update patient medical records in EHR/lab software.
• Drop off lab work at UPS if driver unavailable.
