Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support Urology across East Region offices. You will handle vital signs, patient history, referrals, and administrative tasks while collaborating with physicians and teams to deliver patient-centered care.

The role requires a Medical Assistant diploma or CT CNA/EMT credentials, BLS, and flexibility to work across several sites. Training on high-level disinfection is provided, with strong support for career growth.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, allergy/medical reconciliation, screenings, placing event monitors, patient history, health maintenance, advance directives and virtual health.
• Conducts point of care testing including quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house Urology procedures, as needed
• Provides administrative support including but not limited to scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• High level disinfection is a primary duty requiring demonstrated proficiency. Training will be provided.
