Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support across multiple Urology offices in the Fairfield region, with reliable transportation required.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, receive ongoing training through the MA career ladder, and benefit from tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 after six months, plus comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained within 3 months of hire.
• All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.
• EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, allergy/medical reconciliation, screenings, placing event monitors, patient history, health maintenance, advance directives and virtual health.
• Conducts point of care testing including quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house Urology procedures, as needed
• Provides administrative support including scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• High level disinfection is a primary duty requiring demonstrated proficiency. Training will be provided.

Education
