Beacon Kalamazoo is hiring a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic. The role reports to the Practice Manager and works under supervision to aid physicians, manage patient data in the EMR, handle front-office tasks, and assist with exams and minor procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, CMA certification, medical office experience, and may speak Spanish. This position is full-time, daytime hours with opportunities for growth and comprehensive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Spanish-speaking ability is desired.
• Previous medical office experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors professionally and provide assistance.
• Answer calls and relay messages accurately.
• Obtain patient information for records and billing.
• Maintain patient files, charts and records.
• Record medical history and prepare for exams.
• Assist physician/nurse with procedures.
• Perform routine lab and EKG tests and collect specimens.
• Administer and document medications and injections.
• Coordinate appointments and admissions with hospitals.
