Job summary

CloseKnit in Arlington, VA is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a busy in-person clinic. You will perform clinical intake, assist with exams, venipuncture, injections, EHR data entry, and patient scheduling while delivering compassionate care.

The ideal candidate has MA training, current CCMA/CMA/RMA, BLS/CPR, and at least 2 years of MA experience, with strong teamwork and adherence to HIPAA and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Current CCMA, CMA, or RMA certification is required.
• Current BLS or CPR certification is required.
• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience.
• Experience using EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with exams, testing, and in-office procedures.
• Conduct clinical intake with patient histories and vitals.
• Administer injections and medications as directed.
• Perform venipuncture and collect lab specimens.
• Operate EKG machines and basic diagnostic tools.
• Prepare specimens for lab testing and basic procedures.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and HIPAA compliance.
• Greet patients and manage check-ins/check-outs.
