The ideal candidate is a CMA or graduate from accredited programs, with pediatrics experience preferred, and strong communication and computer skills. This full-time/part-time position supports a fast-paced pediatric practice and compassionate patient

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant required; CMA graduates from accredited programs considered.
• Experience as MA with pediatrics preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients/parents.
• Capable of prioritizing multiple demands in a fast-paced health care environment.
• Demonstrate compassion and understanding for patients and families.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and take medical histories.
• Obtain vital signs and document symptoms/concerns.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; perform basic tests.
• Update patient charts and order/prepare lab tests.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the provider.
• Assist with in-office procedures (e.g., sutures, casting, circumcisions).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

In this position, as a Certified Medical Assistant, you will work alongside a provider seeing patients for both sick and well visits. Some of your duties will include rooming patients, taking patient medical history, obtaining vital signs and symptoms/complaints, collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, updating patient charts, ordering various lab tests, preparing and administering medications as directed by the provider, assisting with in-office procedures (sutures, casting, circumcisions, etc.), and other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Certified Medical Assistant; will consider graduates from accredited programs.


• Previous MA work experience desired; experience in Pediatrics preferred.


• Ability to communicate effectively with providers, staff, and patients/parents.


• Capable of prioritizing multiple job demands and work in a fast-paced health care environment.
