Job summary

North Canyon Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant/EMT professional to provide clinical and clerical support to our providers. You will interact with patients, collect data, and assist with care planning as directed by the provider’s care plan.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant or EMT background or Idaho Certified Nurse Aide certification and strong communication skills. This role emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program or hold a current Certified Nurse Aide certification in Idaho.
• Ability to demonstrate competency for the unit/area of assignment and adapt to changing patient needs.
• Excellent communication, both oral and written, with patients and team members.
• Ability to manage a chaotic work environment and maintain standards of performance and safety.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician program or hold a current Certified Nurse Aide certification in the state of Idaho or hold a current Orthopedic Tech. certification.
• Minimum experience as required for the position and/or specific area(s) of assignment.
• Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment.
• Excellent communication skills to include oral comprehension/expression and written comprehension/expression.
• Ability and willingness to work with patients’ growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment.
• Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying.
