Schweiger Dermatology Leesburg is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our patient‑focused team. You will support dermatology, cosmetic and laser procedures, prep rooms, and ensure efficient patient flow with accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has dermatology and healthcare experience, EMR proficiency, and strong communication and organizational skills. Availability Monday–Friday with occasional weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Dermatology and healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience with EMR and patient scheduling systems.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Available to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support physicians in dermatology, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Prepare rooms before and after patients, ensuring equipment is ready.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures and prescriptions.
• Manage provider-to-patient flow and anticipate next steps.
• Attend in-house training and continuing education opportunities.

Job Summary

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Leesburg Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required.

Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7am-7pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience required
• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
