Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Garden City is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support medical, cosmetic and laser procedures. You will assist physicians, manage patient flow, and handle clerical tasks in a fast-paced dermatology setting.

The role welcomes candidates with dermatology or healthcare exposure, EMR familiarity, and strong communication, reliability, and teamwork. Flexible scheduling is expected, with 30+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Dermatology experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures and prescriptions in the chart.
• Manage patient flow and prep rooms; ensure equipment is ready for each shift.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions; maintain inventory and products.
• Attend in-house training and continued education opportunities.

Job Summary

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Garden City Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Open to no experience but has an interest in healthcare, teamwork experience, and detail oriented with a flexible schedule. We employ college graduates and gap year students who have an interest in the medical field, whether you have majored in the sciences or are switching tracks, we want to help you on your journey! Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am-7:30pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)

• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range: $19-24
