Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Englewood Cliffs is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our patient-focused team. You will perform clinical and clerical tasks, support physicians in dermatology procedures, and ensure smooth patient flow throughout the day.

Applicants should have healthcare experience; Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred; proficiency with EMR, Microsoft Word/Excel and Outlook is expected. Availability Monday–Friday with some weekend coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to patients and providers.
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures.
• Record prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, and procedures within established guidelines.
• Prepare rooms and ensure equipment is in proper working order at start/end of shifts.
• Manage inventory and supplies; participate in ongoing training.

Job Summary: Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Englewood Cliffs Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required. Dermatology experience is preferred.

Schedule: Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7a-730p. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range:

$19-24
