Job summary

Schweiger Dermatology Group in Englewood Cliffs, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant. The MA will perform the highest quality medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a dermatology setting. Prior healthcare experience is required; dermatology experience is preferred.

Schedule: Full-time, 30+ hours per week. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7a-7:30p. Open flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required.
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• Experience with EMR software and scheduling systems.
• Computer savvy; proficient with Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Strong communication and patient relations skills.
• Willingness to work weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a professional, welcoming atmosphere for patients and providers.
• Assist physicians in medical, cosmetic, and laser procedures.
• Record treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, and prescriptions per guidelines.
• Prepare rooms and ensure equipment is ready before shifts.
• Provide pre-care and post-care instructions as needed.
• Manage inventory and order supplies; participate in training.

Job Summary

Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Englewood Cliffs Office. The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing the highest quality of medical, clinical, and clerical tasks in a medical setting. Previous healthcare experience is required. Dermatology experience is preferred.

Medical Assistant

• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients and for respective provider(s)
• Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
• Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
• Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider’s next steps to the best of their ability
• Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
• Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
• Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
• Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
• Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant preferred
• Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
• Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
• Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends

Hourly Pay Range

$19-24
