Job summary

Advocate Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant at the Glenview Family Medicine clinic to support the care team and ensure a compassionate, efficient patient experience. You will perform vitals, histories, pre-exam prep, and assist during procedures in a busy ambulatory setting.

This role requires a MA diploma or 2 years MA experience (or certification) with preferred phlebotomy skills, and may involve occasional travel to sister sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience.
• Strong phlebotomy skills (highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab‑related tasks including specimen collection and point‑of‑care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
