Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred
• BLS Certification and CMA preferred
• Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (Massachusetts) preferred

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
• Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records.
• Transporting patients-Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking dictation, or completing insurance forms. Acts as a liaison with other departments and advocates for patients with a positive customer service approach.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, log the specimens, and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean and supplies stocked.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
