Job summary

Marathon Health Inc. in Jersey City is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team.

The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient-centered care, take vitals, perform blood draws, and assist with immunizations, while also handling front desk duties to ensure a seamless guest experience for our patients. Requirements include graduation from an MA program, CPR/BLS certification, and a minimum of 1 year in a primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and maintain clean, stocked spaces.
• Take vitals, assist with procedures, and support clinical staff.
• Perform phlebotomy tasks as needed and administer injections.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and patient check-in/out.
• Document data accurately in the medical record and communicate results to patients.
