Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in an on-site primary care setting. The Medical Assistant will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and create an excellent guest experience for our members and clients.

The role involves acting as both a Medical Receptionist and performing clinical tasks, including vitals, injections, phlebotomy, and patient education, within Marathon Health’s value-based model.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred; CPR/BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to room and ensure exam rooms are cleaned and stocked.
• Review previous medical information and update health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations as directed by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop individual patient plan of care and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, medical records requests and abstraction, referrals, and other care coordination.
• Record data accurately in the medical record and process test results.
• Participate in outreach to patients to drive engagement among eligible groups.
• Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment for treatments.
