Job summary

Marathon Health Inc. is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in Durham, NC. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience.

The role combines medical assisting with front-desk responsibilities, taking vitals, administering injections, drawing blood, processing tests, and coordinating with our care team to address patient needs. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred and required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review prior medical information and collect updated health information for the provider.
• Take vitals, draw blood, give injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per written order from the Provider.
• Front desk duties including scheduling, records requests, referrals, and check-in/out.
• Document data in the medical record per guidelines and communicate results to patients.
