Job summary

Varying hours (8:00–16:30 or 8:00–17:00, Mon–Fri) and local travel to support other clinics may be involved. Certification and CPR are required or pursued on hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or higher health-sciences education.
• Active Medical Assistant certification (AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, AAMA).
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Previous MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years in medical office assisting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs, and health history.
• Support physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Administer immunizations or injections where applicable.
• Process prescription requests, provider orders, and update patient charts.
• Conduct onsite lab tests (EKG, pulmonary function, glucose, urine pregnancy).
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms and provide excellent customer service.
• Occasional travel to assist other local clinics.
