Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Hinsdale, IL, is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a physician-led, collaborative team. You will greet patients, assist with registrations, take vital signs, and support physicians during exams and minor procedures.

Responsibilities include immunizations, lab testing (EKG, pulmonary function, glucose, urine pregnancy tests), chart updates, and ensuring a clean, welcoming exam room. CPA CPR certification and MA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active medical assistant certification through one of AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA.
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required.
• Phlebotomy certification may be completed within 90 days of hire.
• Prior experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years in a medical office assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history.
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures.
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing.
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits.
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57 , with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
