Job summary

MarinHealth in Greenbrae, CA seeks a Medical Assistant - Front/Back Swing to support clinicians in delivering patient care. Under supervision, you will collect patient information, take vitals, assist with procedures and ensure accurate charting in EMR.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, documenting symptoms, injections and specimen processing, and coordinating referrals while maintaining confidentiality and patient flow throughout the clinic day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• A Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program such as NHA and AMCA is required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association) required.
• At least one year of related medical assisting experience in a physician’s office or other clinical setting, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Re-processing/ procedural experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, including obtaining vital signs, documenting symptoms, and reason for visit.
• Provide courteous and compassionate care and document all information in EMR.
• Provide injections, immunizations and other patient care services as ordered by the provider.
• Assist with medical procedures and exam rooms preparation.
• Communicate results, prescriptions, and referrals and manage lab results in EMR.
• Maintain patient records and protect confidentiality.
• Schedule appointments and greet/check in patients.
