Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• At least one year of Medical Assistant office experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical and non-clinical duties in front and back office.
• Performs immunization and medication administration procedures.
• Follows CLIA testing instructions, collects specimens, and documents results in EHR.
• Fulfills provider orders within scope of practice and provides discharge instructions.
• Coordinates continuity of patient care with internal health departments.
• Maintains exam rooms and prepares them for patient care and procedures.
• Reports safety hazards to supervisory staff.
• Interviews patients to obtain history and chief complaints; records vitals and completes intake process.
• Uses proper charting and documentation for all patient services.
