Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a medical assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical and non-clinical duties in the back office.
• Maintains accurate medical records and supports front office for revenue cycle activities.
• Adheres to immunization and medication administration procedures, including labeling, storage and utilization.
• Performs CLIA-compliant testing, collects specimens, and documents results in the EHR.
• Fulfills provider orders within scope of practice and provides discharge instructions.
• Coordinates continuity of patient care with internal health departments.
• Keeps exam rooms stocked and ready for patient care; prepares rooms as needed.
• Identifies and reports safety hazards to supervisory staff.
