Job summary

Holy Name Medical Center invites applications for a Medical Assistant in Internal & Family Medicine. The role supports front and back office clerical and clinical tasks in physician offices, part of the Practice Management team.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, vital signs, EKGs, specimen handling, and patient scheduling, with emphasis on accurate documentation and patient interaction. CMA certification must be obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required and graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• CMA-AAMA CMA certification must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures, vital signs, and EKGs as required.
• Receives specimens and documents results in medical records.
• Schedule and register patients in the physician's office and assist physicians.
