• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• CMA certification within 90 days.
• 1–3 years hospital or physician office experience.
• Knowledge of venipuncture, EKG and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and telephone skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipunctures, vital signs and EKGs as required and explains testing to patient.
• Receives specimens from patients and documents information in medical records.
• Registers patients, answers phones, and greets patients; assists physicians in the office.
• Reviews test results for completion and abnormalities.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
