Job summary

MemorialCare in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant Front/Back Float to support front office and clinical teams within Family Medicine. This role requires data collection, patient teaching, and assisting Providers with care plans across practices.

Minimum requirements include 1 year of ambulatory medical office experience, a high school diploma, CMA certification, and BLS. MemorialCare offers a $2,500 signing bonus for external hires and solid health coverage options.

Qualifications

• One year medical office and clinical experience in ambulatory care preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent required; CMA certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred; BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Shift: Days (8hr shift)

MA Level 1 – 0 to 2 year of Experience Pay Range: $23.00/hr - $33.18/hr

MA Level 2 – 2+ years of Experience Pay Range: $25.22/hr - $36.57/hr

$2,500 signing bonus available to external hires new to MHS employment, contingent upon satisfaction of employment requirements.

Position Summary

Responsible for the front office duties of all medical practices as assigned and/or supports clinical care team members with the delivery of patient care in accordance with Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job

• Assist in the data collection for the assessment of the patient.
• Implement a teaching plan with patient, family and/or caregiver(s) as necessary.
• Demonstrate proficiency of all duties within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice.
• Implement orders and treatment plan components as directed by Provider(s).
• Be at work and be on time.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and directives.
• Interact in a positive and constructive manner.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years 20 experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
