Job summary

CentroMed is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with exams, nursing treatments, and patient care in a community health setting. The role requires familiarity with clinic procedures, patient communication, and adherence to infection control standards.

The ideal candidate will have a medical assisting program completion, HS diploma, and 1 year clinical experience. This position emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork within Centro Del Barrio's service areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and completion of Medical Assisting Program.
• 1 year experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Intake: take patient history, vital signs, symptoms and chart in medical records.
• Administer immunizations following protocols and provider instructions.
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders.
• Maintain treatment room supplies and equipment and inventory.
• Assist providers in examinations and procedures as directed.
• Travel to other Centro Del Barrio sites as needed.
