Additional Information About the Role

Position Details:

• Medical Assistant opportunity for St. Charles County float pool
• $5/hour shift differential after training
• Up to $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS eligible
• Day shift hours
• Must provide proof of Medical Assistant Certification or Registration upon hiring
• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• This position requires ability to travel between multiple locations
• Mileage reimbursement

Overview

BJC HealthCare MedGroup is hiring a Full-Time Float Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to float between locations. As a Float Medical Assistant, you will be a full-time BJC employee providing coverage at multiple BJC MedGroup sites based on need. Responsibilities include covering shifts for employees on PTO, leave, vacation, or sick leave.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant (MA) provides medical assistance under the supervision of a physician or licensed provider, performing duties to promote health and deliver patient care according to protocols.

Responsibilities

1. Clean, prepare, and stock exam rooms.
2. Obtain vital signs, patient history, and maintain accurate charting.
3. Perform clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and injections.
4. Triages calls, provides test and lab results, and communicates relevant information to providers with correct medical terminology.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• No experience required

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification/Registration in area of expertise

Preferred Requirements

• Less than 2 years of experience
• CPR certification
