Additional Information About the Role

Position Details:

• Medical Assistant opportunity for St. Charles County float pool!
• $5/hour shift differential after training
• Up to $2,500 SIGN ON BONUS Eligible!
• Day Shift hours
• Must provide proof of Medical Assistant Certification or Registration upon hiring
• 2 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
• This position requires ability to travel between multiple locations
• Mileage reimbursement

Overview

BJC HealthCare MedGroup is hiring a Full-Time Float Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) to float between locations. As a Float Medical Assistant, you will be a full-time BJC employee providing coverage at multiple BJC MedGroup sites, determined by need. Float MAs cover shifts for employees on PTO, leave, vacation, sick days, etc.

Role Purpose

The Medical Assistant provides medical assistance under the supervision of a physician or licensed provider, performing duties to promote health and deliver patient care according to protocols.

Responsibilities

1. Cleans, prepares, and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
2. Obtains vital signs, patient history, and maintains accurate charting.
3. Performs clinical skills such as phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care testing, and injections.
4. Triage calls, provide test and lab results, and communicate relevant information to providers with correct medical terminology.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience

• No experience required

Licenses & Certifications

• Certification or registration in area of expertise

Preferred Qualifications

• Less than 2 years of experience

Additional Certifications

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
